I recently had a potential bride ask me where I recommend having her pictures printed after the wedding. In all honesty, I know everyone does this differently, but most times, I don’t sell prints after a disc is sent to a client, so I don’t mind sharing my opinion with anyone who wants to know. That’s what the disc is for! Why spend so much money on professional photography and digital negatives to have no-so-great prints made of your pictures? Luckily, there are several companies that, I think, do a great job with consumer prints that are very affordable.
The first one I recommend is mPix. The professional lab I use most times is Millers Lab. mPix is Miller’s consumer segment. They print gorgeous prints for affordable prices and also offer many additional items such as canvas/gallery wraps, collages, etc.
I also recommend Snapfish. While I haven’t personally ordered prints from Snapfish, a few of my close friends have and the quality of the paper and printing is spot on with any professional lab.
Lastly, I recommend Shutterfly. Shutterfly not only offers prints at affordable prices, but they also usually run specials to help you reduce your costs, however, I don’t think their quality is up to Snapfish or mPix’s quality. Their colors are a little off.
Anyway, thanks, Ashley, for asking such a great question! If you’re interested in having your question featured as an “ask me anything” post, please check out my facebook discussion group by clicking here. Happy Friday!
