A couple of weeks ago, I posted a sneak peek of a trip to St. Augustine that my friend, Corrie, and I took. In the midst of everything going on with school, finals, studying, my photography business, my non profit org, my life and living blog, my pregnancy, and anything else you can think of, I had realized I really hadn’t taken any time for myself to just be creative with photography. So one morning while Colby was out of town, on a Saturday morning at that, we woke up SUPER early and headed out on a nice chilly morning to St. Augustine to just take some pictures of the beautiful colors and textures, walk around, and just put everything else to the side.
Not as a photographer, but as an artist, I think it’s really important to feed your creativity. It’s vital or else you fizzle out or lose interest in the things you love. It’s like eating to live. You have to choose to engage the creative side of your mind to feed your creative spirit. I know it sounds all “artsy fartsy” but people who live it know exactly what I’m talking about. Anyway, here are my favs from our trip.
